The exams wasn’t at all difficult but I wasted 2hrs answering just 2 questions in detail, and had to rush the rest of it. I’m def re-sitting the exams. I have to start practicing on my time keeping skills.

The answers to past questions are so well written, was trying to perform at that level.

Students found September 2015 to be lengthy. Further, they found question 5 to be difficult. Let me tell you; F8 is neither boring nor difficult. It is simply a different exam than the rest of the exams at the Fundamentals level. It is intended to develop skills as auditors rather than simple accountants. To be a good auditor you first have to have a grip on accounting but that is not enough. You cannot rote learn for this exam. What you need to do get a strong grip on the concepts and you will pass easily.

Students think that if they solve enough past exam papers or learn a certain number of pages from study text(s); they would pass. This is not the case for F8. As it is an exam oriented towards practical scenarios; it gives the examiner ample of margin. So if you focus on past cases only; you would put yourself at risk.

I have seen students passing with little but focused study pattern and I have seen students failing after months of practice. F8 is all about your grip on the concepts and your approach to the exam.

I, find practicing past question helps in time management and also how to to understand the questions being asked. I have covered the syllabus and going through it again. Lucky for me, I’m currently involved in my company’s audit process. Getting some hands on experience too.

Yep boring as hell. I intend just going through the past questions from January until the exams in March. I just hope I can keep my nerve and pass it.

    Hi,

I am sitting this paper in Dec15, the feedback here is really not encouraging. I’m beginning to stress out right now. Thought I had it covered.

Any tips to this exam will be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
