Wishing you all the best guys. I know the anxiety of waiting for results especially for finalists. I became an affiliate after passing P2 in March. I am only becoming lazy by not completing my essays for PER. All the best guys.
My understanding is that transfer of excess depreciation is an accounting policy and should only be done if the question states so. The technical article below from the ACCA F7 page refers. May you clarify further. Thank you.
I am worried about the low pass rate for P5. I passed it first time in September 2017. Am now an affiliate after passing P2 in March 2018. My advice to those expecting to take P5 in future. Firstly there is that temptation of the similarity between P3 and P5. Yes the similarity is there in all those models like Porter, BCG etc. However P5 is performance management and the focus is now, for instance determining the measures to be used to measure and manage performance. For example if we look at threats from new entrants P3 focusses on how this affects the business strategy while in P5 one should find a way of measuring the level of the threats and possibly come up with suggestions for improving performance. These may be identified from the scenario and also think of other measures and suggestions which suits the scenario. Students should read technical articles and watch P5 videos on ACCA website. I am not sure whether its a technical article or a video titled “don’t put your P3 head in P5 exam”. That article or video is a must read or watch for everyone who wants to pass P5. Another issue is that of answering the question that has been asked and not what you wish should have been asked or what you know about what has been asked. Revision is also key and its always good to start it early. Try to understand and not memorizing things. You should also come up with a strategy of approaching the exam. It’d good to start by questions which are easiest to boost your confidence as you proceed to more challenging ones.Above all don’t forget to pray for God’s hand. Wishing everyone the best.
NCI is equity hence credit balance. It’s correct that the name of the account is NCI and dividends paid appear on the debit side (Dr NCI Credit cash). The closing balance of the account is carried forward on the debit above the line so that it will be a credit balance brought forward.
Passed all my exams from F5 after exempted F1 to F4, on first sittings, it was a long journey. Wishing everyone the best.
Glory be to God, passed my final subject P2 though I thought I had failed. I now have to work on PER. Want to express my gratitude to OpenTuition team for the support.
I thought I was going to have a bad weekend when my team was two nil down. Now I have something to celebrate, thanks to Ground, Hazard and the rest of the team for the goals. I just pray that this jovial mood will take me to Monday morning. How many accountants here are blue fans? Help me celebrate the long waited win!

My friend who is a finalist does not have the tick box on ebusiness, the membertype is “S” and got an error message on the members’ page. We will check the results on Monday and confirm the so called theories.
The first time I read students saying the link theory worked or didn’t work I thought its a method of study or its something which makes studying easier or its a model like Change Kaleidoscope (I miss P3) only to realize that its something used by finalists who want to know whether they passed or not before the release of results.

But I don’t think he meant “lie”, maybe he meant you should not be so careless with the facts and misinform forumers. @tj200 also pointed out “S” would result in a different webpage appearence to “M”, so probably not necessary to go to the extent of checking the source codes.In my post I referred to December 2017 countdown and I don’t remember these issues of membership type “M v S” being discussed.

I followed every line of December 17 countdown and there was no M v S theory. The last day I checked on ebusiness page, membership type was S and its now showing as M. However, the line in which the membership details appear on ebusiness page keeps changing. This is how it appears on line 178 “<INPUT TYPE=”HIDDEN” NAME=”p_membertype” VALUE=”M”>”. I think the M v S theory is correct. I also got the tick box issue. When I logged to this page: https://portal.accaglobal.com/portal/page/portal/ACCA_PORTAL_PAGES/ACCA_STUDENTS which someone said its only for members, I managed to log and the page is grey and white and I have never seen that before when I log to myacca. I just hope I passed despite not finishing the P2 exam and finding the options questions strange. I have not yet done my PER and expecting to work on that if I pass.

Share the outcome if you don’t mind and state whether you are finalist or no.
Line 86 will tell you membership value.

I think ACCA noted attempts by students to view whether their status has changed from student to member. They have put a note on the ebusiness page and the general details heading has been removed. ACCA is reacting to all these theories and the only way to know your results is by waiting until the 16th.

Can you explain how you finished the exam? Which strategy did you use? Can anyone else who finished the p2 exam share the secret. For me, the consolidation question took most time. Thanks for those who will share.

I logged into the ebusiness page and when I click ‘For information on examination results click here’, it takes me to CPD page. Does that mean anything? On line 86 this is what I see: ‘padding-bottom: 1px }’. To me all this mean nothing, maybe someone can explain the meaning. I am a finalist.
