Most of the syllabus was covered in all 3 questions which was quite nice to be able to use our knowledge. I am sure even if you got the figures wrong, you will be given lots of marks for your knowledge and application skills.I found the exam ok. I left the hall smiling but you never know 🙂 Good luck
What a silly question. You really shouldn’t be studying ACCA if yor attitude towards studying is like this. We spend hours and hours of study/revision… We are not just here to pass but to be able to do our jobs properly.

@Bill the butcher I think the bank loan had covenants attached to it… (something to do witht profit based) if the company doesn’t make enough profits then they’ll have to pay the loan back. This may cause going concern. That’s what i said anyway 🙂
No…. The choices were… a) EA’s report to the Those Charged with Governance or
b) IA’s reports to the TCWG……The answer was one of them but I had to think on this for a while….. (the other 2 answers were wrong!)
I thought I had finished when I finished Q5… only to my surprise there was the 6th Question with 20 min to go!!!!!! Boy I never written so quickly in my life 🙂
Why can’t they ask like they teach us? IA reports to the Board/Management and EA reports to the Shareholders. Grrrrrrrrr 🙂
What did everyone chose for Internal Auditor or External Auditor reports to Those Charged With Governance. I chose Internal Auditor as I thought External Auditors report to the shareholders. What a strangely worded question.

I am so upset about the whole thing! If this exam was in old format, I would’ve passed it with good marks! But because of the difficulty of the MCQ’s I feel so let down! I felt like running away when I turned the first page of the exam paper. The MCQ’s were awful. It is not just fair! What the hell is reverse yield? This is NOT fair on any of us. We all HAVE WORKED so hard for this… Probably the majority of us know the 80% of the book but because of the MCQ’s we will fail…. So NOT fair! One very upset student who worked hard day in day out!!!!!! 🙁
I have also included the RE brought forward (120.000) and 6/12th of post acq 33.000……. all FV adjustments and the share capital of 150.000!
90.000 shares acquired over 150.000 shares so that gives us 60% for the parent and 40% for the NCI
I did include the pre acq profits in FV of SNA’s plus the 6/12th of since acquisition.
Oh Dianne! Please don’t be so hard on yourself! I am sure you did much better than you think. Now….. go and get that drink or the bottle 😀 Hugs x
