I mean the books keep getting updated does that mean if I buy a BPP study text now for example, I can only use it for the coming December exam? Then if I want to use the book for 2017 exams it will be out of date?
How long does each edition stay valid for?

I also would like to ask, is the Study Text enough to pass the exam?
or would I need the Practice and Revision Kit and the Passcards too?
