7 years rule applies for all papers from date we passed it as per my understanding.
As confirmed by ACCA only for SBL the expiry date will be the most recently passed paper either p1 or p3 which in my opinion is fair enough as they are merging two papers to create a new one therefore both need to expiry which implies the most recently passed need to expire to lose the converted SBL.
January 30, 2018 at 7:01 am #4339287 year rule still applies to Strategic Business Leader (SBL) – After the conversion to SBL this paper will take the expiry of the most recently passed P1 or P3 paper. The paper expire for me in December 2024.
January 26, 2018 at 5:13 am #433041They are merging 2 papers to make 1.
It would be fair enough to retake the paper SBL when both expired.
Or exempted paper should not have time limit because both papers will not exist in the future.
Or It would be more appropriate if on conversion date September 2018, 7 years are granted. All these I am suggesting don’t know acca decision on the matter.
I sent an email to ACCA for explanation they could only say that after September 2018 both papers will be converted to 1 paper.
I have resent an another email hope to get a straight forward ans.
January 25, 2018 at 9:59 am #432894I passed both but my P1 paper expires in June 2019. I wonder if I will lose the converted paper in case I have not been able to complete all the remaining papers in level 3 by June 2019.
They are merging 2 papers to make 1 paper. Implying that the 7 time limit rule should take into consideration both papers expiry dates and not only one.
January 25, 2018 at 6:26 am #432823My expiry date for p1 is June 2019 and p3 is December 2024. it implies that after June 2019 if I have not completed my acca I will have to take the paper strategic Business Leader?
Then what happened to my p3 which expiry date is December 2024?
I think it will be fair enough if we are granted 7 years on the conversation of the paper on September 2018. This is quite confusing. I have even called ACCA from here yesterday and the operator was not able to help me. she said she will revert on the matter after contacting ACCA head office.
