Isn’t throughput per limiting factor calculated for ranking purpose only? Why do we use that to calculate profit. If you don’t mind can you explain me the logic behind it. In your lecture sir, you found profit by using total contribution less the factory overheads ( that is you found return with optimum production mix into return per unit , less total fixed cost) you did not consider return per factory our in profit calculations.
Excuse me if I’ve misunderstood the concepts. Just a bit confused. 🙁
Yes sir I did watch your lectures and after that started trying out BPP revision kit sums. I tried to work out the profit in both ways, but it gives two different answers 🙁
Multiplied by throughout per factory hour ( not throughput per procedure) * sorry typing mistake
Also when we use methods such as absorption costing, marginal costing and activity based costing – we use them to deal with the overheads. However, is it only production overhead costs that we consider or both production and non production?

One more thing.. Sir, I’m doing self studies for the law paper. And planning on taking the computer based exam in November. I’m in contract law lectures now. Do you think I will be able to finish everything by November.
Can you give me some tips on how to study with in this 1.5 months. I’m also going to university and doing a degree so I’ve got uni lectures almost the whole week. While doing that I’m studying for the ACCA law paper. I’m using Kaplan books. The notes in them are confusing. I only understand when I listen to your lectures here in Open tuition. After that i read the Kaplan text.
I just want some advice from you on how to do self studies for this paper. Any tips or techniques? or a study plan for me 🙂
