Hi sharon,
To the best of my knowledge, “know your client KYC” tends more to money laundering than due diligence. Recall that the question itself involves money laundering.
But then, I struggled with the question as I didnt have enough time to think. I only wrote few points.
September 10, 2015 at 7:45 am #270954Hi guys,
The exam seems better than June 2015. However, results could be funny.
Q2 was not only on money laundering as we were asked for matters to consider before accepting the engagement.
This should include ethical considerations(such as threats, conflicts of interest etc), money laundering, professional competence, availability of audit resources, fees.
Also, a discussion of the issues noted in the professional clearance with Toni( can’t really remember his name again)
Any contrary opinion???
June 8, 2013 at 3:56 pm #130724anyone pls help me with this…. I actually made a mistake calculating the share exchange as 2 for every 3 shares(guess i practised too many questions) it acually affected my goodwill figure and my share capital en share premium figures as they were all overstated by 8,000,000.00. How does ACCA do thier marking dont wanna write the paper again!!!!! crying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 20, 2013 at 7:18 am #120113Dear Omofola,
Nothing is impossible as students write four papers in a diet and they get everything cleared. However, to be realistic with you, ACCA is not as easy as what beginners see it to be(I am not trying yo impact fear in you though). If you are not presently working and you find yourself in a condusive environment that supports full time studies, then you could take the four papers. if otherwise, I advise you to take it in twos F5 & F6 then F7 & F8.
The ball is in your court…
March 11, 2013 at 11:22 am #119626paper F7 isnt as wide as paper F6, paper F7 is quite easy to pass so long as you understand IASs and IFRSs very well.
March 11, 2013 at 10:38 am #119622Hi Hasimali,
There are no specific orders as to combination of papers so long as a prerequisite course is done first. However, the structure of the examination time table could be beneficial as to the combination of exam papers.
Moreso, paper F6 is considered to be the widest of the three papers(personal experience) while paper F7 is a bit striaghtforward and virtually the easiest to pass amongst the three papers(Global exam pass rate). paper F5 is considered to be technical too.
Personally, I advise you go for Paper F5 and F7…though at this point it is expected that you ought to have made up your mind as the exam is less than 80days from now. Early preparation is key!
Good luck Bro.
