Affiliate with 51. The end of a long journey. Looking forward to throwing my old notes and textbooks in the bin and having all my evenings free again!
I failed P5 twice and switched to P7. I encourage others, don’t be afraid to switch modules!
April 15, 2018 at 12:48 pm #446709I hope this the last time I have to look in this thread. I find it hard to keep my mind off results, always ruins my weekend. Just been watching mindless tv and reading books. I’ll go to bed early this evening to pass a few hours haha
Good luck to everyone. I have failed before and the best thing you can do is get right back on the horse and repeat in june, it’s not far away! We wouldn’t be doing ACCA if it was easy!
March 5, 2018 at 9:49 pm #440491I thought the paper was very fair and I would expect a good pass rate as last time.
I felt disappointed with my performance, I just lost my cool. I panicked when I found that Q1 was not business risks as expected. I was also hoping due diligence did not come up, even though it’s a straight forward topic, I left it out in my study.
It’s very dangerous to topic guess in this paper and I have paid the price.
I took on Q5. As soon as I walked out the door of the exam, the recognition of the pension came back to me. Also I gave an adverse opinion but again after looking back I should have given a qualified except for opinion.
I will try again in June as the memory is still fresh. I will try to sit a few mock papers under exam conditions, I think this would help me.
Good luck to everyone and lets get back on the horse for those of us who had a bad day.
January 15, 2018 at 7:48 pm #430254It’s easy to say never give up but there are plenty of people who have done this paper over 5 times, it just isn’t worth the time and money. Pass rate of 29% this time round, it really isn’t worth the bother for me.
January 15, 2018 at 7:17 pm #430237I failed for the second time, I’ve gone from 40 to 42.
I am quitting P5 and moving to P7 in March. Don’t want to waste any more time on this pointless module. It’s basically an English examine disguised as performance management.
Good luck to those who will sit P5 in March, for those who are failing, don’t be afraid to make a change.
January 11, 2018 at 8:45 pm #428564Results should be released Friday, it really does ruin the weekend worrying about them, and then having a full week of work without time to recover. I’d rather they delayed the results until the following Friday (19th January). It’s the worst part of the exam experience by far.
Good luck to everyone and keep going no matter the result!
October 16, 2017 at 12:25 am #411416Wow first exam I have failed and I thought I had aced it. Everything I wanted came up. Failed with 40, not even close. Clearly I used the wrong strategy in answering. Can’t belive mark was so low, I would have guessed 65!
Well done to those who stuck at it and passed, gives us hope
