I have written and failed AFM in previous diets. This is the only paper left for me, read so hard because I really wanted this to be the last attempt was confident on the exam morning just to be faced with horrendous set of questions, cried for hours after the exam and had a mental breakdown cos there is no hope of passing.

I only feel disgust towards ACCA now and don’t even care about the certification any longer ‘cos this makes no sense.

The section C was quite tough especially the IHT. Does the question on additional liability on death of 418,000 (ignoring nil band rate) have taper relief component? I’ve been trying to remember…

I was entering for tx alongside P papers, I have passed the professional papers and now have tax outstanding. @thepeacock

I have passed 12 papers with just TX left. This is probably my 9th or 10th attempt and the exam still went bad. I have never had an exam challenge me this much. Too much information to remember it gives me panick attacks.

I just pray for a miracle to pass this attempt.

A. Explain basis and basis risk.

Nothing prepared me for a 20marker on Basis Risk.

Absolutely nothing.

Q3 accrual of revenue rebate, pension,
Q2, Preference shares of cfo and ceo,
Q1 the goodwill/acquisition of company related to prior year.

These questions destabilised me, i just pray for a miracle to pass.

I realised after the exam, that I named my subheading for Q1 Audit risk instead of Risk of material mistatement. Will this be penalised?

This should be my 6th or 7th attempt at Tax. I hate it.
Passed sbl first attempt, sbr and other prof papers but this I can’t seem to grasp all the rules.

I end up mixing them all up on the exam day just like yesterday. God please I just need a 50. Help..

Also passed SBR and failed AAA – 42 AFM – 45.

I have never been this confused on the next step to take in my life. ACCA costs a fortune.

First attempt f5 – 33% passed with 50%
First attempt f8 – 46% passed with 50%.

Thank God, I feel so elated as I needed this motivation for f7&9 come September. More work needed. Congrats to those that passed. To those that failed, never give up!!!

Hello, did the deficiency question request for implications and recommendation? Like is it a 3 column question of deficiency, implications and recommendations…

Have been thinking as I did not really read the requirements of the question properly due to time constraints. I only did deficiency and recommendations.

I read and understood f5 just to be clueless during exams especially question 31/32 .
