Yes the levelling of the ground was made in the month of the sale, so it will be part of the cost, and no need to index it.

re Q3 CGT: Think the insurance proceeds was a ZERO gain – as the gain on it is rolled-over into the base cost of the new replacement asset. And the land one was a £9k gain I think.

Re Q4 c IHT: £122,000 CLT – so £24,400 when 20% paid by donee trust and 25% £30,500 – when paid by donor.

    What did everyone else get?

IT salary was £15,100 over eight months as far as I can remember. So £10,667 was salary – which gave me a vastly overpaid PAYE? So tax was refundable? Anyone else get this?

And Basis of Assessment for Opening Years & Overlap Profits. Have FOUR columns with the following headings: “Tax Year”, “Basis of Assessment”, “Calcs” & “£Income”.
    So line one may look like, eg, 2011/12; 1.10.11-5.4.12; 6/12 x £100,000; £50,000.

Thanks, I have created my own but wondered whether there was a handy little resource of all of them in one place? So that they can be checked?

There should be available “empty shell” proformas avaiable to memorise applicable to this paper. For IT, CT, CGT, IHT, VAT, Capital Allowances, and so on. These have been accessible online in the past. I would like to see them too. Can anyone please help?

Great, thank you for your prompt response.

With ten marks on offer for that part, it could make all the difference!

Also, are you aware of any of the answers to the computational parts of the questions?
