3rd attempt passed with 57%!!! Incredibly happy!
March 8, 2024 at 8:32 pm #702451It was FRA 3-11. Borrow in 3 months and use in 11 months so for 8 months.
March 8, 2024 at 6:01 pm #702439I got the same.
Q1 Green finance and interest hedging.
Q2 rewacc and valuation
Q3 reconstruction. This was very difficult. From excel redoing the SOFP so hard with bonds and loans.I’m just that I have finished all the exam. Apart this very frustrated about the reconstruction question.
Finger crossed!September 8, 2023 at 8:18 pm #691771Delighted Q1 was on interest risk, options collars and swap.
Q2 on acquisition done probably incorrectly but calculated the percentage in gain for shareholders but unfortunately 7 marks left on reverse takeover theory, very disappointing.
Q3 full question on Ratios 10 marks calculations and 10 marks for theory. Strange question.
Just praying for 50%!
All the studies done to then write this paper is ridiculous.June 5, 2023 at 9:57 pm #686111I had the same exam on boat Q1
Q2 TCWG
Q3 KAM and audit committee selecting the external auditor.Probably a fail again. I spent too much time on Q1 and barely finish Q3.
How did you recognise the engineer for the joint arrangement?
April 17, 2023 at 12:30 am #682796Failed again and shocked after completing all the paper! I’m not sure what to do next…… very disappointed.
March 10, 2023 at 8:59 pm #681039Better exam than December but there was much more theory I think. I preferred Q1 on hedging than acquisition today. To calculate the wacc post acquisition I couldn’t find the debts value!
I had rationing but I didn’t have time to finish question 3.
Question 2 on hedging was ok, interest FRA, future, collars but again lots of theory.
I think was duable if you studied hard (I had AAA too so didn’t have time for preparing AFM).
I would say for AFM the secret is to repeat the same question lots of time and time management, flying through the paper even if the numbers are wrong.
At least I like the paper….
March 6, 2023 at 9:59 pm #680314Sorry the Aron question with dividend was in Q2! But from some other comments now I’m thinking that was also discontinued operation?? Was an awful question ?
March 6, 2023 at 9:39 pm #680311No I was concentrated on the pension and dividend thing (if I remember correctly the question)
March 6, 2023 at 9:16 pm #680304This paper was asking for a lot of calculations which is not usual in AAA.
Q1 audit risk, analytical procedures on projected cashflow and profit, procedures on goodwill and something on advising on ITQ2 totally confusing! A director that never got his pension funds but received a dividend every year.
Q3 again cashflow
Too much numbers in my opinion.
At least I’ve managed to finish the paper.
June 10, 2022 at 1:46 pm #658309I got the same paper as @george. Very frustrating only few standards asked after all the hard work put on the subject! Also they were difficult (cash flow edging) and lots of tax requirements.
One full question on restructuring is crazy.
Leaving out about 15/20 marks I’m not confident I’ll pass. But the big problem is if every exam will be like this one only the word “luck ” will help to pass it! - AuthorPosts
