2 more to go AAA+ATXJune 8, 2021 at 7:45 pm #623986exam wasn’t really hard, no slides, no models, question were fair, but it was too long.
8 Exhibits is too much specially when you have to cross-information for the same task.
didnt manage to start question 4b, although I had some ideas to write, shame
Regarding internal controls:
donors needs to know that there is internal control in place to assure them that their funds are used appropriately and there is no fraud, misuse of money or illegalities.
Students data needs to be protected and secured, control needs to be in place to make sure no one has access to their data.
Council: gives funds with the condition of having significant internal control in place therefore must share.
Employees/volunteers, job security and salary pay stable, controls in place to make sure the charity is run smoothly to keep the jobs.
Community: charity exists to offer services to the community to make a positive change to their personal and social live, also transparency of how the money is used, especially after the media release, controls needs to be in place to avoid such misuse of funds, controls needs to be shared to re-assure them that NCCP is using the resources available in a fair way and on the benefits of the community of North Ceeville.January 21, 2021 at 6:41 am #607376muzammilgoundi wrote:I got the reply on my appeal and its funny. ACCA says they have stringent processes in place and make sure that the results published are correct. Basically not accepting that mistakes can happen at any stage of the process.
They just gave pass or fail for each question, can you imagine, not even the proper feedback to the candidate. How you are supposed to remember what was question 1, from which syllabus area.
I request whoever very confident and strongly believe than their result is not correct should raise this to ACCA.
They need to provide the correct responses to candidates if they are taking money for it. Without even rechecking the paper they can’t say that this it, no matter what we will not re-evaluate your paper because we have a stringent process in place.I’m just wondering if those strong processes and controls are really effective during pandemic when there is a lot of staff absence and everyone working from home. ACCA says that markers check out others markers work and that the whole committee have meetings to discuss the mark scheme. However I have my doubts about the effectiveness of all this these days.
Now that you have appealed you may whish to raise your concerns to them.January 18, 2021 at 9:12 pm #607037muzammilgoundi wrote:Hi All,
Good luck!
January 18, 2021 at 9:11 pm #607036I am in the same position, not sure if I should appeal. I was really confident, especially for SBL as I did really well, answered all the questions and I got 36. completely shocked.
Let me know how the appeal goes, I have heard that it’s pointless so I am not sure if I should go ahead or just skip and keep going.December 10, 2020 at 9:18 pm #599266khilen wrote:Hello all,
@khilen I wrote almost the same thingDecember 10, 2020 at 9:15 pm #599263benefit scheme in business combination with all those adjust, ECL the most difficult one they could get, GOV grant on intangible and for free so you didn’t receive any money but it does have FV on top more intangible form business combination. It is my second attempt the last one missed by a few marks only and it was mainly because didn’t have time to attempt Q4. But this time I have no idea ……. so 6 weeks to find out!
December 8, 2020 at 7:04 pm #598553@ dreniba, I made the same points adding social footprint in case there is no other firms in those areas, also mentioned technology opportunities to keep the clients form those offices remotely.
I also said something about a clear financial appraisal to evaluate benefit/costs saved before deciding.
I did not make recommendation as the question did not ask to recommend.December 8, 2020 at 7:01 pm #598552it was an email about training for the new approach on big data analytics to be used in Q4 I think when you had to advise how to implement the new approach.
No models at all, quite surprised!! at least I did not use any neither I think you need any for this scenario.
Time issues as usual did not attempt q5 thanks god it is only 13 marks
lets see what comes in 6 weeks
Now for SBR , that really scares me!!October 14, 2019 at 7:06 am #549333The most important thing is that you understand what you are reading/studying. I usually talk to myself while studying as a way of explaining it to someone so I get to see the reason behind it. As future accountant we need not to limit to know rules we also need to understand why? Asking this question all time will make seek out for a better explanation and therefore once you understand it it will be easier to remember when you get to the exam.
Good luckOctober 14, 2019 at 7:00 am #549324Passed with 63% first attempt, didn’t have time to do the last question in part C. I’m so glad, thanks Chris for your lectures, they are definitely the best. I will donate to support OT and I encourage everyone to do so. The OT lectures are life and money saving. Big thank you!
July 15, 2019 at 6:01 am #523368Don’t even bother to waist your money. Read the comments on forums about the it. It will not change your score, it has never happened before. So move on! I’m in the same situation, failed with 48. To be honest I was confused about my performance anyway and the pass rate for this exam is around 40% so it’s not easy. Good luck
July 15, 2019 at 12:22 am #523236Fail, 48. I wasn’t sure about my performance in this exam. It was so confusing. Will try to do better next time.
