Pass with 53%, close, but a pass is a pass. All finished now!
While I did not use the lectures all the time (I was lucky enough to be put on in center classes.) the website creates an invaluable community for those taking the exams and am grateful for the resources provided.Good luck to everyone with exams left to sit. You’ll get there!
December 6, 2022 at 5:34 pm #673700I replied in the same way, breaking down the risk profiles using Tara and responses.
Was an odd exam, but I think I said enough valid points to get 50% at least!
December 5, 2022 at 7:09 pm #673544Thought it was a pretty tough exam for an audit paper. Distinct lack of testing over a number of expected areas
Q1 on a consolidation, so goodwill ect, business risks and ROMMs
Q2 on defined benefit plans
Q3 on post issuance reviewsMaxed out my presentation to see if I could bag the professional marks.
This was a second time sitting for me. I put the work in so have fingers crossed now!
July 18, 2022 at 12:12 am #660854Got 47, thought I’d aced the paper. Is it worth requesting a remark?
June 9, 2022 at 5:54 pm #658184Brutal exam.
I reckon I got 40 marks at best!January 17, 2022 at 9:48 am #646601Some things in life are more important that the exams. Take the time to rest and go again in march! Good luck!
January 17, 2022 at 9:31 am #646587Passed on the second attempt – 54%. Found tax difficult as a subject so releived to get it out of the way. Well done all regardless of pass or fail, none of this is easy!
July 19, 2021 at 1:03 pm #628736I have no idea how i passed this, I went into the audit exam with a good chance of passing, and failed.
I went into this exam with a good chance of failing, and passed!Very happy to have passed this exam!
July 19, 2021 at 1:02 pm #62873546% unfortunately…. Next Time!
January 18, 2021 at 10:38 am #606719Funny you mention the TERP question, I have been thinking the same thing, even now I can remember the answers. It was a process of elimination rather than using the taught technique, very odd!
January 18, 2021 at 10:36 am #606714Passed 53%, Congrats to all others that also did. To those that didn’t, its not over, there is always next time. It’s not an easy course but you will get there, if it was easy everyone would do it.
Put the time in, learn what you don’t know rather than practice what you do.
I thought the exam on the whole was quite odd, worked in my favor but the exam had some odd questions in section A and C coming from directions I was not expecting!
February 13, 2019 at 2:09 pm #505014Hi John,
I am absoloutely watching the lectures, they are the building blocks of each unit I study. I am relieved to hear your confidence in the open tuition material as the BPP book has had me more than confused. As you have mentioned, I do have a revision kit, but am saving it untill I have covered the material. I am sure this will prove useful in time.
I will continue with the lectures and study notes and use the BPP material as a further guide.
Thanks for your help, it has very much improved moral.
Regards
