What if I calculate Profitability, liquidity and solvency ratios using the spreadsheet and take the Investment ratio and efficiency ratio figures from the Annual report? Will that be enough to show my IT skills?

Well the Consumer Healthcare segment produces products like Panadol, Sensodyne, Horlicks, etc. The segment has been making 16% growth year on year.
The reason for the discontinuation is due to a major global three-part inter-conditional transaction with Novartis AG, Switzerland. GSK plc and Novartis plan on creating a new world leading consumer healthcare business.

    “Further, GSK
plc will also acquire Novartis’s global vaccines business
(excluding influenza vaccines) whereas GSK plc will
divest its marketed Oncology portfolio and Research and
Development activities related to it, as well as rights to GSK
    plc’s AKT inhibitor to Novartis.
Pursuant to the global transaction the Company will have
its distribution rights terminated for the Oncology portfolio,
which portfolio contributed to less than 1% in the revenue
and gross profit of the Company.”

They have decided to demerge it and it will hence forth be listed as a separate entity on the Stock Exchange.
