I have used so much money on this ACCA journey and i just want to finish and become an affiliate.ACCA is not expensive i am sure its not me alone who thinks its expensive but i hope it will be rewarding when i qualify.
September exam i will make sure i will use another strategy and join all the exam chat groups.
My 2nd time sitting P5 exam
It’s not just the money..it’s the time, the stress, anxiery, anticipation, that comes with it.

I am not even getting nervous about my P5 results i did not even finish the paper my answers were everywhere starting from not being able of numbering my answer sheet correctly.I panicked when the invigilator told us 1 hour left and i was still on question 1 and i managed to answer half of question 2 not even attempting question 4.
At least now i know that i have to start with the option questions since i knew the answers but I spend most of my time on question 1 wrong move.
Maybe i need a big miracle to pass this but i am not going to let my blood pressure rise
I KNOW THE FEELING.. i couldn’t sleep well throughought this week.. i feel everything is at stake..and the paper didn’t go well for me too. I promised I won’t get worked up as paper went badly but just can’t help it when it’s your last paper.
July 27, 2015 at 4:22 pm #262496Gabriel..some will pass, some will fail..you can cry all about it if you want…what will be will be

What a sexist moron
July 26, 2015 at 1:01 pm #262209Feel sorry for anyone who thinks they have passed or failed based on white or grey pages..I have started preparing for Sept.
July 24, 2015 at 5:23 pm #261764Cheers Becky…ok guys we all need to wait..its either a pass or a fail..
July 24, 2015 at 4:45 pm #261757Whenever receiving exams by email..the ones I passed were always early, between 12 and 1 am and unsuccessful ones I always received later in the morning…coincidence?

I seriously doubt dates mean anything. There are more meaningful hints I.e. Administrative service..few sittings ago I had a link under this saying “request administrative service” a few days before results..they took it off after 10 mins and I failed the exam. Results could be updated according to last name, membership no, geographical locations etc..

But the moderator Elia has a lot of experience regarding these dates and stuff and if he says that dates matter, then you should seriously take it to the note as it might mean a lot. Don’t you think?I seriously doubt dates mean anything. There are more meaningful hints I.e. Administrative service..few sittings ago I had a link under this saying “request administrative service” a few days before results..they took it off after 10 mins and I failed the exam.

I think its just the date in which the results may have been uploaded on to the system for that particular person whether its 8th,10th or 13th July. I highly doubt all the results would have been uploaded in one day. Just a thought…This is the most logical explanation.
July 24, 2015 at 12:43 pm #261644You guys are hilarious…mine says 8th of July..just be patient…some will pass..some will fail..that’s life!
July 23, 2015 at 10:59 pm #261571Almost in the same position…I studied a BA in Accounting & finance as I was unsure what degree to take and ended up listening to pushy dad..I consider myself to be of above average intelligence and I infact got an award after my A level law exam with one of the highest marks in the borough.
I did not really see myself as a lawyer . I also had a passion for business and Accountancy seemed a relevant choice. I struggled with the degree as I had zero interest but ended up few marks away from a first. My dad pressured me to start ACCA and I finally started after 5 yrs.
I am only one paper left and I feel stuck as well and only want to complete as I cannot give up now. I will also use the ACCA qualification as a stepping stone due to its recognition in my native country. I am not going to be working as an accountant in the traditional sense but the qualification is valuable.
I am determined to complete this year irrespective of 1/8/15 and I’ve started preparing for Sept just in case. I will say stick to p5 as it is a very interesting paper.
July 21, 2015 at 12:04 pm #261250I had mine pay for two of my papers (tuition + membership fees + studyleave) and there was no policy in place in regards to paying back if you left within a certain time but I think they can only pay for one sitting per year.
We recently changed dept. and merged with one of our other subsidiaries and I believe a new policy will be drafted hence why I did not bother with my last (final) paper.
My previous place. I had to pay back more than a grand as I left within 12 months of sitting my exam.
July 21, 2015 at 11:49 am #261249I did badly in my p5 but a werid feelin keeps coming over me and telling me I made it
July 19, 2015 at 1:07 am #261081I would definitely say South east
July 15, 2015 at 1:28 pm #260839I will advise not to put so much emphasis on the answers..last time I sat P2, my answers were completey different and I still passed. The key is backing up answers with logic.
July 15, 2015 at 1:19 pm #260837the answers are out on ACCA website.
June 10, 2015 at 4:14 pm #256073Key to passing P2 is to realise you cannot cover every single adjustment. If you need to work out an adjustment and you can’t do it.. just write the theory behind it and how it is applied. You get some credit for that.
It is a monster paper and also don’t think it is just about numbers because the theoretical aspect will save you when the figures let you down.
Also never leave any questions blank, even if you don’t know..just write something relevant. There are is 1 mark just for attempting every question…could be difference between 49 and 50..
Never give up..ACCA is hard but you passed till now so you can pass P2 as well!!!
Good luck!!!

You’ve spent 5 years doing this one paper??!! That’s crazy!sounds ridiculous but when you consider there have been only two sittings every year and if you miss any sitting in any one year…..then it’s possible esp. when you have an examiner from hell. I know someone who sat a paper 12 times

dear all, acca feedback survey is out.pls make sure we all fill in the survey to xpress our cncerned for this paper.ACCA will never change the style or wording of the paper. They believe it is a paper which seperates the boys from the men and so will try to maintan their ‘high’ p5 standards.
I believe the questions will increasingly get tougher, so more people can pay more money to resit especially now that there four sittings per year.
June 5, 2015 at 1:54 pm #253623Tell me about it..This is the only paper holding me back from completion. It’s becoming embarrassing now. I could have spent the P5 exam fees on a nice plot of land.
This sitting was obviously my fault because it wasn’t has bad as I was expecting but I forgot my strategy of how to tackle this paper and was in pieces in the exam. I over studied for this paper, even all my lunch breaks was spent on past questions but I allowed the ambiguity of the questions to leave me in a state of panic, shock and confusion.
I spent 5 mins after reading time trying to decide which option questions to tackle (poor exam technique) and I over ran the first question by 15 mins so I had to abandon it, then did the second option which was also over ran so I was now panic stricken, watching the time..could not make all the points I knew….even in the exam I knew the answers but kept on going back and forth between questions, I was demoralised.
Did everyone realise q1 was based on Nike?
Then it’s question 1..trying to make sense of the case study, could not even focus..and was picking information in bits.
The truth is that the format and style of the question will not change because people do actually pass this paper. We all have the ability and knowledge but it’s about time management, confidence, ability to stay focused under pressure.
Knowing the subject inside out is 50% of the job done..It’s the ability to pick out the key issues from the scenario and link them together quickly is what is actually being tested.
Nevertheless, the style of the questions is not very helpful because if you’re not careful, your inability to decipher the question requirements will make you panic and you end up forgetting everything you know.
Also as I’ve realised, do not ever start a P5 exam by doing the optional questions first. It’s a recipe for disaster.
August 7, 2014 at 12:09 pm #186984P5 AND P2 …
@P2…messed up in the exam
@p5…lowest pass rates@me…#ibelieveinmiraclesyesidpimgoincrazynowhelp#..
August 7, 2014 at 12:05 pm #186980Jocain…the best thing is to read the examiner’s comments and look at the suggested answers, then cry, then listen to music, then cry, slap yourself, then cry, whistle, then buy an aquarium and tropical fish ( I sell these by the way).
August 7, 2014 at 11:58 am #186971I sat 2 final papers which I believe I prepared very well for but didn’t do myself justice in the exams so as long as I pass one of them I’ll be a bit disappointed but still glad..
worse case scenario is what I cannot even being to contemplate…
