Ok now I see where I misunderstood the question, the payback period was only used to derive the cash flow P.A before deducting the depreciation P.A to compute the average investment.

Thank God for the opportunity to have sIt for the exam. It was a good exam. There were so many tricky parts like the the gifts to customers (greater than £50 per donee per year). But overall it was an easier paper compared to previous F6 past questions.
