I do self-study as well and as mentioned above I only discovered OT halfway through the preparation of my first APM attempt.

I just read Paula Byrne’s book, which I think is (given the subject) the easiest-to-read study book I’ve ever laid eyes on. I might have practiced some questions too, but I don’t think so because I also had to prepare for the other exam I was taking at the same time. My new employer (I changed jobs at the end of April that year) saved me on that one with giving me a few days off to study.

And yes I just found out about the twice-a-year when reading the syllabus the other day. Didn’t realise that as I was preparing for the TX-IRL June exam two years ago.

Hmm reading through the syllabus it appears that ATX-IRL isn’t being examined in September.
Would have been helpful if the exam time table on the ACCA website would state that…
