thank you Kim for clarifying!
I’m aware that taking professional exam is much more difficult (and more expensive) route to CPD than, for instance, reading articles with the test or attending seminars, nonetheless it’s good to know this is an option
Happy holidays to all!
December 20, 2020 at 2:57 pm #600391Thanks Kangmo,
did they give any guidance on how many verifiable units could one claim for passing an additional professional exam?
Inherently it takes many hours to prepare for prof. exam for the pass, but this can not be verified if self-studied
When I was preparing for SBL just practice kit with 5 mock/past exams alone adds up to 86 hours, on top of that there is study text and technical articlesMy point is prof exam requires way more than 100 hours, but since I’m not working in tax role at the moment would it still count as verifiable CDP? If so, one exam would be enough for two years CDP and I would definitely consider this option even though there is a rather significant cost involved, as well as the risk of failing exam itself
Or this would simply count as additional qualification even though it doesn’t really elevate your ACCA qualification?
Interesting they do not have this as a separate section on their CPD site.
I know it’s a long post but other people might find this relevant too, would you be able to share what contact did you use to reach out to ACCA, I could follow up with them myself?
Thanks
November 29, 2020 at 7:49 pm #597041Hello,
does anyone know if taking an additional professional exam while being a member counts towards CPD and how many units would that be?
I passed optional exams for APM and AFM, I would be interested to take ATX if this would grant me CPD for the whole year.
Thank you

October 19, 2020 at 1:34 am #590070Last exam and 78 mark, after 4h of the exam I thought I would fail, simply couldn’t remember anything I wrote.
If you were not lucky this time, keep studying and follow your chosen plan, there are many ways to study, but do stick to one you chose and try not to distract yourself with diff advises/approaches which are so readily available
