ATX-MYS.
Second attempt for me and I think it’s a complete disaster!
Should get ready to reattempt, again. SighJune 6, 2017 at 2:15 pm #390880A bit confused on Q1 about the second subs..
Another confusion came when Q gives amount of profit that accrued evenly for associate.. Not sure what to do with that..
After all I’m glad because SOFP came out..
Sad since cannot answer AT ALL factoring (recourse & non recourse) – 9 marks, Q3a manufacturing unit (which standards apply here?)- 9 marks, Q3b licensing agreement + legal costs (no idea when I read the requirement – “derecognition of licensing agreemet”) :((((, Q3c deferred tax asset – 7 marks..
HOPING FOR GOD’S MIRACLE TO LET ME PASS!April 23, 2017 at 2:17 pm #38321250% second attempt.
But I wonder why the passing rates is 51 for p3.
Hopefully the didn’t mistyped “pass” thereJanuary 17, 2017 at 1:32 pm #367919@ds3ce said:
Passed with 56% at 4th attempt. This time around I worked on my time management and that’s what I focussed on in my exam as well. I had no issue with my knowledge but it was always a time management issue for me. I started practising under time pressure and it increased my % by a lot, it enabled me to pass.As Barack Obama said, persistence and resilience are key to success, so to those of you who keep failing like how I did: make sure you keep trying, keep practising under time pressure by using your smart phone to count back .e.g. start with doing 25mark questions then the 50mark questions, cover all areas of the syllabus.
I’m so happy I didn’t give up. So many times I wanted to give up ACCA but determination is key, you have to keep going, keep fighting.
Thanks to those students who do post about their exam techniques and advices throughout Opentuition, you never know which student you help with achieving a pass mark with your tips and advices.
3 papers to go.
Good luck to you all.
Hi can you please share what did you mean by “worked on time management?” Let say if we need to allocate only 45 mins for question with 25 marks, what did u do if you over the limit? Learn to make you answer shorter but contentful, or just practise to write faster?
