Such a tricky set of options. It’s a shame that so many people will be judged solely on how the incredibly reasonable Q1 went as they scramble over the finish line. A lot of people seem to be complaining about porters 5 forces where realistically it was a gift to get such a basic model. The only difficulty in its application was the complexity of the product (fuel cells?!) which could have confused many of threat of substitutes etc and the fact that the product wasn’t actually available as such therefore ruling out customers as a Power (car users). Other than that it was passable I think.

However… The abc and TP questions were incredibly unapproachable. I was honestly prepared for both and found I could barely scratch the surface with the numbers. I resorted to doing the ABC question but should have spent my time perfecting my other answers (yes it went that bad!). I couldn’t work out anything so took the hated approach of discussing how abc will enable more effective management of costs compared to the existing absorption method. I really hope I don’t have to rely on a single mark from this. I need 50 from 75 to be totally honest. Fingers crossed.
