OVERSEAS RECOGNITION OF THE OBU BSc DEGREE

I’m planning on having another degree, the BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, which ACCA students can opt in for if they want to, making it easier to get an academic qualification than going to a university and spending 3-4 years on it separately.

I’m doing this because I plan to move to the US in a few years, and ACCA isn’t recognized there (it may one day thanks to IFRS, but then there’ll be too many accountants there).
A little info about getting the CPA credential; you need to have a minimum of 150 US Credits to sit for the exam and license. That means I need to have a US Bachelors degree or equivalent, which I won’t have because my first degree is a Bcom from India (nothing prestigious, so it’s worth 90 US credits only).

I have alot of time on my hands, I can work hard if I really have to get all this done, the way I see it, spend a few good years of hard work, and then the following years ahead will take me to higher ground.

I’d like to know exactly whats up when I opt in for this BSc. degree, what I’m really up for, the difficulty, about mentors etc. from people who will be doing it or have done it before.

    Thank You
    Andy 🙂
