If you want to self study, then watch our free lectures (together with the free lecture notes). They are a complete free course for each of the exams. If you watch our free lectures then you do not really need a Study Text, but it is essential that you buy a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions to practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam.
Before you start studying and buying books, check what exemptions (if any) that you are entitled to as a result of your university degree. You can do this on the ACCA website ( http://www.accaglobal.com ) – it will ask you which country, which university, and what degree, and then tell you if you will be entitled to any exemptions from any of the exams.
With regard to the exam dates, then again you can find this on the ACCA website – just hover your mouse over ‘students’ on the menu bar 🙂
(The first 3 exams can be taken ‘on-demand’ at any time. The rest of the exams are all held 4 times a year.)Thank you so much John. That was very helpful. I’m going to check out the ACCA website now. 🙂
