Nice to meet you,I’m not a teacher but I’m also studying ACCA F4 GLO. My first language is not English either(my Eng reading level ~IELTS reading 6.5~7). I’m going to sit F4 GLO CBE in 17th this month but I’ve just finished reading ~150 pages of the kaplan F4GLO text book (total ~350 pages).

Below are some of my thoughts(/ways) about(/to study) F4 GLO so far:

1. Get the ACCA F4 GLO course notes on Open tuition ( link: https://opentuition.com/acca/f4/acca-f4-global-course-notes/ ), I’ve printed out all 140 pages of this notes. THIS IS REALLY HELPFUL because all main points of each chapter are listed briefly.

2. Google those law in your first language ( example: I’ve googled UNCITRAL model law on international commercial arbitration /UNCCISG formation of the contract in Chinese which is my 1st language ) and make a .doc file copied all the articles that the text book have mentioned and print them out. This will make you easier to understand those law and speed you up. ( give up googling if you can’t find them in 1~3 pages of the search result, just read text book + notes )

3. (1) & (2) are some support documents but you still need to read the text book. What I do is read them together. This will help you easier to understand.

4. After you have finished reading all these things, make sure you understand them and do the specimen exam & past paper in 2015&2016 (make sure these 2 yr have no big changes, I don’t remember….). If you want to get high score, pay for those practice tests in [my ACCA].

5. Read what people have asked/experienced on this forum.

Well….Because I’ve just finished reading ~1/3 of the whole syllabus, this is all I can tell. But I believe the future is bright 😀
