Hi Davon , I believe opentuition notes help a lot if you work through them with john’s lectures .It really polishes your basic concepts . Then ofcourse on to Past exam papers PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE ……. best of luck

35 to 40 % overall pass rate ???? I was asking about the pass grade it self falling below 50% because of the difficulty of the exam …. This does happen but i am not sure about ACCA take on this.

OK so , does ACCA use any kind of percentile system which effectively reduces the pass rate to a adjusted exam difficulty level , say a pass at 45 or 43 ? Of course when they read all the scripts which might be below par, they would have to pass people on a lower percentage or else i see the pass rate for this session significantly dropping to early twenties which might be the worst ever pass rate for p4 . Also i heard is some where that there is some sort of quota of maintaining the pass rates so that might be the underlying variable to adjust the percentile.So lets hope that there are not those geniuses who fill up that quota and the rest of us talking here are, well left talking !
Now to the value of option to sell , even though the S.D was not given and that technical article mentioned before does kind of tell us that BSOP was not to be used. I still believe that as business valuation are not an exact science but an art . For all those who applied BSOP to any extent would get credit according to their efficacy of application.
sir thanks for the reply i somehow had made up my mind that this applies to all the services on which negative assurance is given . So what you mean to say is that apart from review engagement all the services could have more significant audit procedures applied to them ? Be it PFI due diligence or any other service
Sir one more problem occurred in the very next , very simple example . I was supposed to pay euros in few months time and rate was 0.77euros to dollar . To calculate the correct profit from options i had to convert the rate to dollar to euro (1.299) to get the correct answer. Why is that ???
One more question sir , there is a quick method in examkit to identify the best strike price by deducting a premium from the strike price to calculate which strike price to use instead of doing calculations for all strike prices separately . I was wondering is this method effective and will it gain full marks in exams as it seems quite short ?

@razmataz feel you brother , to think i would fail not because of my knowledge but because of poor time management and the question on ethics , man it was so simple and i did not even get to it , the feeling is terrible . still lets hope for the best 🙂
cant believe my luck , very poor time management, question on ethics and other professional matters was so simple , but by the time i got to it , the clock turned on me , left the whole question attempted around 78% , would have passed easily had i been able to attempt Q4 on ethics but so is life 🙁 ……. Still i prey for a pass , anyone else with same disgusting feeling of knowing u were almost there.aaaah Btw failed last time on 48 and attempted 90% that time 😛 , so if i do pass it wont be less then a miracle ….
