Sir, i have gone over till discontinued operations of OT videos/notes. Now should I go for the past papers or go for all videos/notes first and then jump on to past papers?

Thanks there Zain. Could you help me with the “change in style & holistic view of reporting”. Provide me a link or summarize some in your own words.

    Hello sir,
just gave my P3 paper last Thursday. Now I need to focus for P2 for March 2018 attempt. 2 questions:
I have my revision kit that I ordered with December P3 paper. Are there any changes in the syllabus or IFRS that should lead to change of notes by OpenTuition and a need for new revision kit? Secondly, if yes, then when will the updated OT notes and lectures for P2 be uploaded?

    Regards

I think I did not write strength of 1 department, and that should be HR.
Was infrastructure primay or support in value chain?

Struggled with time. Gave too much time on question 1 and also question 2 then rushed off to question 3 leaving some points of previous questions in order to fetch the new ones.
Let’s see. Hopes in for the best

for question 1 again, sir. I approached $4000 as a saving and subtracted that from the price of buy-in in order to calculate buy-in cost. I did this because these are directly attributable. However, my approach was wrong. I want to know why. Because if Fixed O/H are directly attributable to a product so can’t they be saved as expenses if the process is outsourced/terminated?

Sir, in the third party site e-procurement the procurement is done by the middlemen (the site) or by the companies themselves?

Sir, why did the solution took in to account only 2 years of income while acquiring the company when in fact there were 3 years left to the bid. Does it see first year as no profit/no loss?

Sir, I haven’t encountered any of the strategy clock and the Lewin process of change (freeze, unfreeze, participate, educate, etc…) in the last 5-6 years of questions; disregarding 1 or 2, if any, which I do not even remember.
So how to use these? Because providing the customers and change have frequently came in the past so what sort of questions could these be used?

Sir, with regards to the first question I mean do the powers are seen as “powers of the company in scenario” or the “power of the buyers and sellers’ of the company in the scenario or “both”?

Sir, I did go over the notes+PP but still the difference is unclear.
At best what I understood is that measurable = predicting without a number or percentage.
Whereas, quantifiable = having the ability to predict with good accuracy the figure or percentage.

Sir, moreover, studying notes and past papers has led me to the conclusion that org. structure and or. configuration is same. That is, there are 5 structures (functional, divisional, machine, professional, adhoc). And whichever way of the 5 is chosen is basically the configuration.
Tell me if I am wrong

Sir, regardless of degree of autonomy in divisionalisation, the managers at the end are answerable to the top management (board). Am I right?

And what is simple structure? I only recall machine and professional from your notes/lectures?

    Thanks sir, that is satisfying
but I would like to highlight again that I have not studied F7 as real ACCA student – I was exempted – so shouldn’t that be a barrier?
Because as ACCA student this is just will just be my third paper.

    Sir Ken,
as I found my thread closed and still curious to know about the syllabus change I quote the following from accaglobal syllabus guide:

    1) (P3) September 2016 to June 2017
“There are no syllabus changes effective from September 2016 and the next update will be September 2017.. ”

    2) (P3) September 2017 to June 2018
“There are no syllabus changes effective from September 2017 and the next update will be August 2018”

You told me that June 2017 books will be “OK” for December 2017 session. However as the first point above clearly states that syllabus change will take place in September 2017. So shouldn’t I wait for the new books that will be coming in a week or two?

PS: In one of my queries relating to 2 months preparation time for P3 you told me to go about OT lectures, OT notes and revision kit. So if you still recommend this very limited time strategy then I think I should just grab the revision kit and leave out the study text in its entirety.

Apologies for such a long concern of mine. Awaiting your gentle, as always, response.

    Regards

Sir, may I ask the reason why some threads (including mine) are closed. Given that my thread was just a day old and I found it to be close the very next day. I needed some more time on it so it could have been more easy for me.

    Regards
