    Hi all,

I’m sitting the Irish variant in June and have bought Paula Byrne’s books. Trying to get through the material at the moment and am finding it incredibly heavy.

I’ve never studied tax before and I don’t find that the books help in building a solid foundation of knowledge (maybe this is just how tax is). The level of detail the books go into seems really exhaustive. I’m wondering does the book go into excessive detail or is it the correct level for whats tested on the exam? I’ve passed the other foundation and applied exams and have never found it this difficult to concentrate when studying.

Any feedback and advice on study methods would be appreciated on this as I’m struggling at the moment.
