Please tell us about yourself.
I work in the UK and I am a bookkeeper for a local firm of accountants.
You have scored 96 marks in Paper F2, how much time each week did you spend studying, on average?
On average I spend 10-15 hours a week studying, mostly in evenings and at weekends.
Which study resources did you use?
I used the BPP Study text and practice kit along with ACCA online practice tests and Open Tuition notes.
Did you get support from your firm?
Yes, they do support my studies.
What was your approach to your studying?
I start by reading through the study book, working through the examples as I go. I then work my way through the questions in the revision kit, and reread chapters where necessary. I also do as many practice exams as I can to get a feel for the types of questions which are asked.
What would you say was the most important factor that helped you to achieve such a high mark?
The most important thing for me was practicing exam type questions – it wasn’t until I had gone through some questions that I really started to understand the techniques and the reasoning behind them.
How did you find out about OpenTuition, and which of our resources did you use?
I found them through an internet search and use the lecture notes when I feel I need an alternative explanation from the BPP books.
Thank you and congratulations!
