    Hello Sir,

With regard to Task (a) which says:
Analyse the environment for pharmaceutical companies operating in Nearland.

When looking to this question any one will think yes we have to use PESTEL for analysing the environment.
But the question which is not clear from the question in (a).In what way we have to analyse ,for which purpose and what is the objective of the analysis .What is aim which we are trying to reach .That is not simply given in the question .

But when we see the model I come know that the objective is to show how theses Pestel factor will have effect on the performance and successfulness of DSB and its products.

So is it a default way here to always when we are trying to analyse such factors is to seek these objectives.

    Thanks.

An environmental analysis implies PESTEL and, in so far as the information allows, 5 Forces for competitive environment.

A PESTEL analysis cannot be complete without estimating the effect on the company concerned. For example, considering Donald Trump’s import tariffs (an economic factor), these would adversely affect a company exporting to the USA, but could be a positive effect on a company which had manufacturing facilities in the USA.

Everything has to come back to the effect on the company for which the analysis is performed.

Yes. Focus on effects on the company.
