A normal distribution has a mean of 55 and a variance of 14.44. The probability of a score of 59 or more is aproximately how much? How can I calculate this
The standard deviation is the square root of the variance.
Knowing the mean and the standard deviation you can then use the normal distribution tables to calculate the probability.
How to use the normal distribution is explained in detail in my free lectures on this. (The lectures are a complete free course for Paper MA and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well 🙂 )
