Hello, I’ve received exemption for 9 papers and F4 glo is one of them. I have been studying the exempted papers on my own one by one like how one preparing for the exam would prepare (covering study text, doing revision kits and mocks).

I have completed F1, F2 and F3 and I have now started F4 glo. I went through the first chapter both from studyhub and Kaplan study text and saw remarkable discrepancy between the two study text. StudyHub has many topics that are not covered in the latest version of Kaplan, for instance, terminologies definition such as monarch, totalitarianism, republic etc, while Kaplan has also some topics or details not covered in study hub such golden rule and others and I’m sure there many discrepancy between the two I’m further chapters.

This is confusing me about which study text to use for F4, along side the notes and lectures provided here. Could you advise which one you would recommend to someone who was aiming to score 80 or above?

I have a question for you!

Why? Why are you putting yourself through the pain / pleasure of Global Law when you have already earned an exemption? That’s none of my business so let’s move on.

If you’re looking to improve your knowledge generally then the simple answer I should give you is…. study both. You will learn matters from the hub that are not covered in Kaplan and vice versa.

If you’re simply looking for a quick revision of matters that you have theoretically covered in your degree, then the course notes and lectures could be sufficient.

Looking to improve yourself, then why seek to limit the extent of new matters to learn by choosing one source over another?

    Has that helped?

Unfortunately, the degree covered only 20 percent of the syllabus of each subject. The teaching quality was also bad at my university, so I decided to study them on my own from start. It’s not for improving knowledge but learning and preparing myself for the main exams (SBR and SBL). Under this condition if one sits for the professional papers. one will 100% fail.

I’m aiming to complete all papers by July or August so I can sit for the professional papers. Studying from both Kaplan and Studyhub would not be efficient and take a lot of time plus it will be difficult to retain information as reading both would cause information overload which happened with me during BT.

If you could recommend one out of the two, I’d help me.
