I am currently 5 of 9 exams completed for CAT Qualification (FA1&2, MA1&2, FBT), whilst I did have the qualifications needed to go straight into ACCA, I was unable to find a job at the time and couldn’t self fund the qualification myself (hence the reasoning to going towards CAT as it was cheaper).
My understanding that is to achieve CAT qualification status I need to complete all 9 exams, and then if I chose to move to ACCA, I will need to resit the 2 “optional” modules, i.e Tax, Audit or FM.
Should I continue getting the CAT qualification or should I just move straight to ACCA? Or is there a way I can do both without having to resit the optional modules (for example, could I sit the ACCA version of the paper and still use it towards CAT qualification as it is essentially a harder exam)?
