Data held by which of the following are examples of big data?
(1) A social media site (eg. Facebook)
(2)
A stock exchange (e.g. New York Stock Exchange)
(3)
A multinational technology company (e.g. Amazon)
(4) A credit rating agency which collects and stores information about millions of customersI have chosen all the option are correct but I got wrong.
Right answer is option 1,2,3 but option 4 is incorrect
But why its not an example of big data
can you please do clarify itJanuary 25, 2025 at 3:23 pm #714964This typically involves extremely large collections of data that can be analysed to reveal patterns and trends, especially relating to human behaviour and interactions. Yes although a credit rating agency collects and stores information about millions of its customers, this data may not meet the criteria for big data as defined by the characteristics of volume, velocity, and variety.
While the agency does hold a large amount of data, it may not be as diverse, rapidly changing as the data generated by social media sites, stock exchanges, or multinational technology companies.
