Good morning Sir, In an investment appraisal question, if I make a mistake in calculating the figures during the appraisal stage and arrive at incorrect final values, will the examiner penalize me for the discussion section if I use these incorrect figures to support my reasoning and conclusion?
For example, my conclusion might differ from the model answer due to the error in my calculations. However, if my discussion is logically consistent with the figures I obtained, will I still be awarded marks for the discussion section?
No – you would get full marks for a sensible discussion on the figures that you had arrived at (even if the calculations were wrong) 🙂
