Hi,
For equity instrument investment to qualify as Long-term and go through OCI is there time span it needs to comply with?
Also any particular part of the standard i can refer to that would cove this?

No time span.
Just an irrevocable election.
No need to refer to standard in exam; just state rule. You can find paragraph references in this guide:
