I felt it was alright but I’m not sure if I’ve done enough. I rushed through section B because I wanted to get on with section C and hoped I would have had time to come back.
For section C I got ROI / performance analysis for the division M (mining) and division F (farming) and then q32 was a table for for airplane engine development price table for total cost, revenue marginal etc. I ran out of time overall but I’m hoping I got a pass! Fingers crossed!

Okay so i need few answers to tally

1)WHAT WAS ANSWER TO THE SERVICE QUESTION OF THE TARGET COSTING OTQ?
2)DOES ANYONE REMEBER THE ANSWER FOR THE LAST THEORETICAL QUESTION OF THE VARIANCE MTQ?June 5, 2024 at 5:49 pm #706749Did anyone feel like section a was slightly hard?
June 5, 2024 at 5:52 pm #706750I remember i had answers like:
27.50% the contribution rate to increase revenue by 5,000
I used R3- to determine the learning rate of the 8-unit production
6,000 the amount of benefit if marketing dept is closed (98-4=94-100)
1.28 throughput ratioSection B
The hospital case- it was a mess ugh
Section C
No bonus for M division, 20K bonus to F
Computed the revenue, cost, total cost except the marginal revenue/marginal cost.
Price skimming, price discrimination and complimentary pricing- I just defined the said pricing strategy and made an example for the company. that was worth 14 pts but idk what else to say, also i had not enough time since 30 mins of my time were gone from tech difficulties.Overall, it was ok.
June 5, 2024 at 6:26 pm #706755I got a entire question in section C about regression analysis. To calculate and explain, Unexpected. I think I will have to re do it…
June 5, 2024 at 6:41 pm #706757Even I got regression as a section c question

i need these answers so that i can know if i can cross 48 marks 🙁June 5, 2024 at 7:52 pm #706763Hello,
I did not manage to answer 6,7 question on section B, due to technical issues for which i have submitted a mitigation circumstance letter. How this will be considered during the assessment, do you know ? 6,7 question is about 12,14 points. Will the examiner take into consideration and not count the missing questions due to technical issues ?
June 5, 2024 at 8:15 pm #706772I had someone in my exam room that had technical issues, were you sitting an exam in the whitchapel centre?
June 5, 2024 at 8:25 pm #706775No, i was sitting for a remote exam.
June 5, 2024 at 8:33 pm #706777I also sat a remote exam.
Can anyone who had the ROI question explain how you dealt with the gross and net profit “notes” ie contracts and marketing I wasn’t sure what to do. Thanks

Regression analysis for Section C question
Mind just went bank. Chap infront of me was dancing in his chair. Finished a good while before exam was over!June 5, 2024 at 9:27 pm #706785yep, got those 2 as well.
June 5, 2024 at 9:28 pm #706786I wonder when the notes and videos for September 2024 will come out? No time like the present to start the studying and revision. Maximise the time for potential pass ha ha ha ha
June 5, 2024 at 10:40 pm #706792Same here ? when I saw the question about regression analysis I almost screamed. Even our tutor said during the course that it’s never in the C section so don’t waste time on it. And we’ve never done any examples! I’m gutted ?
June 6, 2024 at 7:24 am #706804we should report the acca because they told us we dont have in the exam
June 6, 2024 at 8:16 am #706818Overall thought it was a good exam,
Section C,
Required to produce a rolling budget.
&
divisional performance; which required adjustments to get controllable profits and calculate bonus given.
3% for division M and 20% for division F.
June 6, 2024 at 8:25 am #706819Hi.
I got it regression as well and OFF co. I was really shocked! I believe I could answer the regression part and the profit.
And R square was about 3% , I’m not sure if it was correct or no, but I followed the formula.I calculated like this: revenue 30,000*16
Cost 30,000*11.25*1.1 ( this is for government cost)
And then profit.
Lastly I explained they should consider profit, ethical attitudes and shortage of workers in increasing the wages.
For limitations of regression analysis, I explained thee could be other factors which might affect.
So, I’m not sure how will they mark!June 6, 2024 at 9:45 am #706826Hi All! I definitely spent too much time on section A (so much calculations and questions being tricky)
Section B I got ROI and performance for devision M and F. I adjusted operating profit by deducting Marketing and audit cost and capital employed: All assets-current liabilities. I got bonus for both devisions in the end as both ROI’s were higher than target oh 12%. Not sure if I done it correctly!! I think I got ROI of 13% for devision M and 17% for devision F…
Section C it was a nightmare! I skip completely preparing rolling budget and answer the question about beyond budget…just run out of time!!
I think I got throuput 1.28
Not sure if I will pass…June 6, 2024 at 10:28 am #706828For section C on ROI question for Division M i have removed the cost, losses incurred due to thé previous manager, was that correct ? We are assessing the performance of manager, so he was not controllable for the losses
June 6, 2024 at 1:41 pm #706832Hmmm but it was Devisional controllable profit, not for particular manager? I think this should not be deducted?
June 6, 2024 at 1:56 pm #706834Can anyone remind me questions on section B? I completely forgot!! ??
June 6, 2024 at 4:21 pm #706845For section B I got learning rate questions for a boat company, then optimum production for cups plates and bowls, then another question about ABC costing for doctors and nurses, for that one i just guessed as i wanted to come back to it later but didnt have time unfortunately.
