How can FR maternals help students pass the DipIFR in the first attempt, and how many study hours to allocate from May 2024 to December 2024 exams session?
May 4, 2024 at 11:43 am #704930Welcome to our forums! In terms of syllabus coverage, DipIFR sits between FR and SBR as it includes, for example, IAS 19, IFRS 2 and the iFRS for SMEs, which are not examinable in FR.
Our FR and SBR notes and lectures would definitely be helpful to gaining knowledge and understanding of the topics – however, the exam style and standard of DipIFR is very different to FR – I would say harder as it is 4 x 25 mark Qs, so the exam is more in-depth and less broad than the FR exam, which is 60% 2-mark objective test questions.
How long it will take to study is like how long is a piece of string, it depends very much on the individual, how you study/practical experience/relevant assumed knowledge, etc.
If you have any questions specifically about DipIFR, please do not hesitate to ask on this forum https://opentuition.com/forum/acca-forums/dipifr-diploma-in-international-financial-reporting
