Hello,
From the OpenTuition lecture, I got to learn that WIP part is no longer examinable in Paper MA ACCA. However I still see quite a few WIP related questions in the BPP Practice & Revision Kit although I purchased the most up to date one (For exams from 1 Sep 2023 to 31 Aug 2024).
I would like to just double check if it’s really ok to disregard all WIP related questions and any WIP related questions will NOT be in the MA exam.
Thank you!
March 30, 2024 at 8:11 am #703523WIP has certainly been removed from the syllabus.
Tell me which questions you are referring to in the BPP Kit so that I can check whether it is an error in the the Kit or whether you have maybe misunderstood.
March 30, 2024 at 12:35 pm #703528Hi, thanks for the reply.
The ones I have spotted on so far are 6.9 (mentioning of WIP in the Material Stores Control Account) and 10.4 (Opening WIP in the example).
It’d be great if you can confirm, thanks!
March 31, 2024 at 7:09 am #703538Both of those are OK because it is the valuation of WIP in Process Costing that has been removed. Neither of those questions relate to process costing and are not asking for the valuations 🙂

April 1, 2024 at 2:16 pm #703573No – those are not to ignore (they are not process costing and it is the valuation of WIP in process costing that had been removed).
