I found some part of answers in SBL BPP Kit and model answers of SBL exam sometimes do not closely focus on the requirements. In some cases, part of content of answer does not directly relate to the requirement but only relate to other part of content of answer which was written to directly answer the requirements. I want to ask if there is not such part of content of answer that does not directly relate to the requirement in the answer, the professional marks will be lost?. Why does model answer still include such unnecessary part?
Thanks!March 13, 2024 at 2:42 pm #702969You must focus on answering the requirements as closely as you can. And yes, bring in irrelevant material will lose you marks in two ways:
1 – You have less time to write focussed material. This is an important consideration.
2 – You could lose marks for being unprofessional. Even if no marks are specifically lost for digression you run the possibility of irritating the marker who might, subconsciously be less generous than otherwise. The term ‘Model answer’ can be a misnomer. The printed answers \are obviously much longer than you could achieve in an exam but they also serve a teaching function and, for example, might also explain a model when what you need to do as a candidate is to use the model.
So, stay focussed!
