in fubuki question we deduct the 400,000 from the machinery before calculating tax, but in the question talam co ( march/ june 19)we dont deduct the 7m even though both of them are straight line method? how do we understand if we should deduct the amount or not

It doesn’t matter – the examiner specifically states in his answer to Fubuki that the TAD can be calculated either way and still gets full marks.
(Straight line is of course unusual in AFM given that it is not the normal tax rule)
