Hi Everyone,
Could you provide information on how ACCA papers compare to CPA Ontario qualifications?
I have completed 7 ACCA papers and considering transferring to CPA Ontario. What level would I be placed at?
Any insights would be appreciated!

See here https://nasba.org/exams/iqex
The IQEX has to be passed where a candidate is eligible to sit through mutual recognition of their current qualification – ACCA is not listed under “eligibility requirements”. (This is confirmed on this page https://nasba.org/international/mra)
Below the list on the IQEX page it states:
“If your professional credential institute is not listed and you want to be licensed as a CPA in the U.S., you will need to take the Uniform CPA Examination as a candidate of one of the 55 jurisdictions:” – i.e. no exemptions, even if you are an affiliate or full member of ACCA.January 6, 2024 at 8:20 am #697749Note, however, that above is about being “licensed as a CPA” – this doesn’t mean that you couldn’t work in the US – indeed, there are many companies in the US advertising jobs here https://jobs.accaglobal.com/jobs/united-states
