what is the difference between law[ENG] and law[GLBOL]
June 22, 2023 at 8:35 am #687320You mean, presumably, other than the spelling!
English law focusses, as you might expect, on the law of England (and that does not include the laws relating to Scotland and Northern Ireland)
The BIG difference between English variant and the Global variant is that English law is heavily orientated to the laws relating to contract, partnership, tort and employment law.
Global law, on the other hand, looks in greater depth at the laws relating to international trade.
Both variants coincide in the matters relating to corporate (company) law.
If you look here
you’ll find the Global variant syllabus and …
… here
you’ll find the English variant syllabus
If your post was asking about the suitability for your own personal future needs, the answer depends on where you see your future lies. If you have in mind that you will want to practice as a qualified accountant in England, then the only (realistic) choice would be to study the English variant. If you take and pass the Global variant and then change your mind and wish to practise in England, then you will need to take and pass the English variant (as well as the UK variant tax paper)
This English law variant is equally respected around the World but, if you see your future as lying other than in England, maybe the Global variant would be preferable.
I hope this helps
