B Chemicals refines crude oil into petrol. The refining process uses two types of crude oil –
heavy and light. A mixture of these oils is blended into either Super or Regular petrol.
In the refining process one gallon (g) of Super is made from 0.7 g of heavy crude and 0.5 g of
light crude. One gallon of Regular is made from 0.5 g of heavy crude and 0.7 g of light crude
oil. (There is a refining loss of 0.2 g in each case.)
At present, 5,000 g of heavy crude and 6,000 g of light crude oil are available for refining each
day. Market conditions suggest that at least two-thirds of the petrol refined should be Super.
The company makes contribution of $0.25 per gallon of Super and $0.10 per gallon of
Regular.Calculate the optimum production plan and the resulting total contribution, and
briefly explain your answer. My answer is wrong… And i didn’t understand the solution given in the kit

June 7, 2023 at 7:17 am #686317I do not have the question in my exam kit unfortunately, so I can’t answer your questions sadly.
June 7, 2023 at 8:44 am #686324Well, i have already typed the whole question
June 7, 2023 at 4:28 pm #686362You obviously have an answer to the question in your Kit, and so ask about whatever it is in the answer that you are not clear about and then I will explain. I certainly do not have the time to prepare a full answer for you, especially when you already have an answer.
As to why your answer is wrong, I have no idea whatsoever since I do not know what you have done!
I do assume of course that you have already watched our free lecture on linear programming?
June 8, 2023 at 5:06 pm #686532Well, the answer I have done and the answer in the kit is entirely different. And I don’t understand a thing in the kit
June 9, 2023 at 9:30 am #686632If you tell me what you have done I can go through it and see.
If not, I don’t know what you me to do.
