BBB Co has developed a new product. The first batch of 50 units will take 750 labour hours to produce. There will be a 90% learning curve that will continue until 3,550 units have been produced. Batches after this level will each take the same amount of time as the 71st batch. The batch size will always be 50 units.
Note. The learning index for a 90% learning curve is -0.152
What is the time taken for the 71st batch? The answer is 330.75.
But I get 333.07. How???

Time for 1st batch = 750 hours
Learning index for a 90% learning curve = -0.152
Batch size = 50 unitsUsing the learning curve formula, we can calculate the time for the 71st batch as follows:
Time for 71st batch = Time for 1st batch x (71^(-0.152) – 1) / (-0.152)
Time for 71st batch = 750 x (71^(-0.152) – 1) / (-0.152)
Time for 71st batch = 330.75 hoursTherefore, the time taken for the 71st batch is 330.75 hours.
