Was really nervous about this result as I had a number of IT issues during my exam and lost around 35 mins of time but submitted mitigating circumstances so really happy with my result

January 16, 2023 at 5:21 am #67633965%…first attempt.Was nervous since I only attempted 80% of the paper
1.Focus was Open Tuition to get a basic understanding
2.IAS Plus to build on IFRS knowledge
3.Past paper practice & CBE practice platform especially goodwill (though did other standards as well) to build exam technique
4. Technical articles especially for current issues & goodwill
Used BPP at some point and changed to Open Tuition middway due to its sheer volume and wordy textMany thanks to Open Tuition…total life saver!!
January 16, 2023 at 6:56 am #676383congrats first of all
@connormcdaid any advice on scoring well and the studying style ?January 16, 2023 at 8:11 am #676411I failed with 48%. Did anyone pass with 49/50? Also is getting the academic review worthwhile?

January 16, 2023 at 8:34 am #676416Failed with 48%. Doesn’t look like there’s an option to remark my exam
1st attemptJanuary 16, 2023 at 8:44 am #676419Just passed with 52% thought I deffo failed cause I almost wrote nothing for the calculations cause my brain froze so just wrote out all the principles of everything instead and just focused on questions I deffo knew
January 16, 2023 at 9:26 am #676434Sep 22 I failed with 46% and gutted was an understatement. Dec 22 passed with 66%. You can’t change what is done but you can learn from what is done. Go again and you will get there. From how I have felt this morning, I can tell you it is worth it.
January 16, 2023 at 9:40 am #676441Thank you
I usually used the lectures along side the Kaplan textbook and tried to start past paper questions as soon as possible
The best advice I can give is keep doing past papers. I completed every past paper question around 4 times each and spend time going over the correct answer.
I have used this method for all my exams to date and have passed each one first time so that’s the best advice I can give.
Also try to do the questions under exam conditions just before the exam. I usually found that i spent too long answering questions and always needed to brush up on my technique to not take as long answering questions
Best of luck with you exams
January 16, 2023 at 10:38 am #676464Pass with 64% by using open tuition lectures, lecture notes and the BPP revision kit for question practice.
January 16, 2023 at 10:48 am #676470Well done to All who passed Dec 22 SBR. After all the effort and hours of study, timed mocks etc I failed by 37%, I didn’t expect this. But I understand that I need to go back to the basic knowledge to pass SBR. This is my 11/13 paper so need to finish.

4th paper with you guys and passed all on first attempt.January 16, 2023 at 2:20 pm #676555Pass with 65% – 1st attempt. For those who failed, I know the feeling (failed AFM with 49 and the passed with 64). Do not give up and start revision today for the March sitting. Use the words, touch the key points and do not get lost in waffling. This is the advice I give myself before every exam
