10.15) …………………………………. Systems pool data from internal and external sources and make information available to senior managers, for strategic, unstructured decision-making.
Which word or phrase correctly completes this sentence?
    Picklist:
    Expert
    Decision Support
    Executive Support
    Management Support

    answer: Executive Support (BPP kit)

but I think the answer should be Decision Support, cause it helps decision-making, and also draw on both internal and external information.
    can you correct me, sir
    thanks

I agree with you that DSS is a viable answer, but so, I think is EIS.

The distinction between a DSS and an EIS is very ill-defined and perhaps becoming old fashioned. The question mentions senior managers but how senior? Perhaps the key word in the question is ‘strategic’. This implies fundamental long-term decisions that are likely to be taken at board level and for the decision-makers an EIS would be more appropriate.

Any real ACCA question would be less ambiguous.
