I have become fairly good at gauging which model an answer is requiring me to use, however, sometimes the models seem too comprehensive!My question is, if it appears a question calls for PESTEL model to be used (for example) is it necessary to find points relevant to every part of the model (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Ecological and Legal), or is it possible that the questions only require certain parts of the model to be used (e.g Political, Economic and Technological points only) to gain good marks?

Generally, only relevant parts of models will be used eg technology and economic from PESTEL or new entrants and customer pressure from 5 Forces. Constructing questions where everything is needed is difficult and unrealistic.
