Sir,
In one of my Practice question, I calculated the BEP units & got an Answer of
18636.4 Units or 18636 ( ROUNDED)
But in the solution its 18637. (Rounded)
Should we always Round up like this?
For Example if I get an answer of 1567.23 Units,
Should Iround to 1567 or 1568??
Seeking for your help !
Regards
Usually rounding doesn’t really matter in the exam and the computer would accept in this case 18,636 or 18,637
However the reason it would be strictly wrong in this case is that 18,636 units will not be quite enough to break even and they would still be making a (very small) loss. To have definitely broken even they need to sell 18,637 units.
(Although I would be very surprised if entering 18,636 did not get you the marks in the real exam.)
Thank u so much Sir !! 🙂
You are welcome 🙂
