    Dear Kim.

I wanted your advice. I failed APM with 46 in the June 2022 attempt. I started studying AAA in June, it is my first attempt. I currently am not employed.

Do you think it would be sensible to attempt both in the September session?

The AAA exam will be the Monday and APM on the Wednesday – leaving a good day between the two for last minute revision of APM. I would say it you know WHY you failed APM – so you know what it is you need to do differently/hone up on – there is no reason why you cannot prepare for both.

See here while the APM exam might still be fresh in your memory if you recognise anything that you could have done differently https://www.accaglobal.com/pk/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p5/examiners-reports1.html

Make sure you have a plan – see at the bottom of this page – https://www.accaglobal.com/pk/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/p7/compass-planning.html to study the entire syllabus of AAA and revise for it – and sit at least one exam as a mock (preferably more) as well as revise APM.

If you think you will spend too long revising for APM … it’s more “interesting” because it has numbers … you could play safe and enrol for AAA in December instead (still study it now but leave revision and exam prep until after APM in September).

Make sure you keep on top of the changes that are effective from September for the options exams
