What is the latest date that a public company, incorporated on 1 May 2010, could hold its first annual general meeting?
a) 31 October,2011
b) there is no limit for a company’s first annual general meeting
c) 31 December,2010
d) 31 July,2011
ANS- A
Good day sir, I thought the first annual general meeting had to be held 6 months after incorporation or a maximum of 9 months since it is the first AGM.I don’t understand why the answer is A. I’ll appreciate if you can explain better.

Since you are here, I will offer you the thought (spoiler) that you are thinking along the right lines with the six month time period for a plc, however, incorporation is not the relevant date. Hope this helps.
