    Good morning sir,

Can you please help me in clarifying if i will able to claim a mitigating circumstances due to my two kids conditions having high fevers, cold and infection
Day before yesterday i had to take my son to the hospital and yesterday again my daughter and i had spend all days in the hospital then taking care of them at house
Also i had applied for a mitigating circumstances first time in Mar-22 due to my uncle death
So not sure if they will consider my request this time

    Your response is highly appreciated

    Thank you in advance

    Advice here https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/help/exam-sessions.html is:

“The quickest and easiest way to request a withdrawal is the ‘Exam withdrawal’ option on our contact form, where you can use our webchat function.”

    The contact form is https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us

Above is to NOT sit – i.e. having entered the exam, you cannot take it.

If you are planning to sit the exam today, the relevant section is:
“What happens if I have attended my examinations but it has been affected by illness or other factors?
If you have experienced difficult circumstances that you feel have affected your exam performance, you can let us know by following the mitigating circumstances process.”

The link for mitigating circumstances process is here https://www.accaglobal.com/ca/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/exam-results/mitigating-circumstances.html

ACCA will not ignore circumstances simply because you applied for them before – however, you have to remember that this process is only going to get you a relatively few additional marks, so unless you are very close to a pass mark it is not going to make any difference.
